LEGO Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots 72423

"Ogres are like onions." So is this build: peel back the layers and you'll find plenty of surprises.

Bring the swamp's most famous trio to your shelf with this 1,403-piece display set for adult fans. Brick-built Shrek and Donkey stand beside a Puss in Boots minifigure, all on a detailed swamp base. The finished model measures about 24 cm high, 21 cm wide and 16 cm deep, so it has real presence without taking over a bookcase.

Both big characters are posable. Turn Shrek's head, move his arms, hands and fingers, and give Donkey's head a swivel. You can also open Donkey's mouth and move his ears and tail, so you can recreate your favourite scenes or invent new ones. The base has the classic "Beware Ogre!" sign, an onion, a blue flower with red thorns and more. There are also hidden Easter eggs tucked inside Shrek's stomach for you to find as you build.

It's a rewarding project for Shrek devotees, animation collectors and anyone who grew up quoting the films, and it makes a great gift for birthdays and holidays.
